A downloadable tool
AHK script which by default waits for the dota2.exe process to gain focus. Upon gaining focus the taskbar and icons hide while the wallpaper turns black. Made for apps/games you prefer to play windowed, probably because your screen is too big, without getting distracted by the elements of your OS. Upon losing focus of desired app the taskbar, icons, and wallpaper revert back to normal.
Known Bug: Sometimes the task tray expansion arrow stops functioning after the tasbkar returns from hiding, restarting explorer.exe fixes this

Download and install Autohotkey
Run TheaterMode.ahk and it's ready to go in the task tray waiting for dota2.exe to gain/lose focus
Change app you'd like TheaterMode to work for by opening the .ahk file in notepad and changing the process name on line 9 of TheaterMode.ahk, save file, reload script in task tray
